The EB Gaming/Gamers Thread

CDB's not welcome.

This is easier than making a bazillion 5-response threads to each new game we all play.

Anyone have Magicka? I want to get my co-op on. It's pretty funny and has an awesome spell casting system, I love it. It's even on sale at this place right now for $3.50, which can be activated on steam. http://www.greenmangaming.com/games/action/magicka

Partial double post from this thread.

I bought the 4 pack of "Lead and Gold - Gangs of the Wild West", a co-op Old west shooter on steam.

Single licenses are $1.50 and the four pack was $4.50, so I figured I'd just buy it and give away the others. So I've got 3 for the folks who miss out, and hopefully one or two other folks will buy one, and we can all get our $1.50 of entertainment out of it

Also, the Legendary Version of Blood Bowl is on sale, people should buy that and play with me

Finally came to the conclusion that Dragon Age II is bunk. It was fun for a while, but compared to the first it's basically an expansion pack with fewer character options. Boo.

So, I'm back to playing Civilization for the billionth time. I've been playing this damn game since 1997 and it hasn't gotten old.

For racking up points, there's none better than the Medic. With medic kits and shock paddles to bring people back, you'll rack up plenty of points.

I also like playing on servers with friendly fire off and playing a Sniper. You have some good maps where claymores can be a really pain.

If you're ever lucky enough to play on a map with vehicles and can get in the gunner seat of a chopper, have some fun with it. You'll be expected to know how to use the t.v. missiles to take out tanks but you can enjoy a round of blowing up the enemy troops as well. Even more fun in a Russian chopper. The canons on those things are great

Battlefield 3 is coming out at the end of October. That will be gaming goodness, I hope

Hell yes. I've wanted to get that game, but due to lack of gaming friends I never got it. Maybe I will be cool enough..... just maybe.

I only played that a few times at LAN parties. It was a fun game but it got old on me. I think I'm a bit tired of WWII games so BF2 was quite welcome for me. BF3 looks awesome so far. The September free open beta should give a good idea of I want to buy it or not.

I was thinking earlier about how I might break that out tonight. I haven't played it in years. I always really liked the Road To Rome expansion.

Monte Cassino as a German engineer is fucking hilarious. Too bad I could never find any decent servers running RTR (or Secret Weapons) online though.

Bioshock 2 only $5 on Steam.

Magika is $3.39 and the Magika "complete pack", which has all eight expansion packs, is $8.49.

Fck Magica. Spent the past hour trying to get the demo to work.

Doesnt Work

Still Doesnt Work

I have this fun issue and none of the fixes work.

Dragon Age Ultimate (inc. all 9 DLCs), only $10.20 today on steam.

I already have the game, but I'm buying it just to get the DLC at that price.

Looks cool, but the gameplay trailer didn't really impress me, and the reviews are decidedly meh.

Yeah I thought the trailer was pretty weak too. I don't play LFD2 because it has zombies, I play it because it's fun. I give fuck all what the content is as long as the gameplay is worth it.

Brotherhood isn't worth that much to me, but AC2 for $6.79? That'll work.

Right or Shift clicking without any icons prompted creates a knockback effect (imagine omni-directional farts, basically) that pushes smaller enemies away from you.
