Still playing ME2. After 4 months, still not sick of it.

Also, I bought FFXIII for my wife. It appears to be balls.

FFXIII is pretty weak. I finished it for the story, really. It was pretty tedious toward the end.

It's pretty much all MST3K up in our living room whenever a cutscene comes on. And a couple drinking games.

Just make sure you don't do "anytime someone is emo" or "anytime they do something weird and japanese" or you'll be dead with alcohol poisoning.

The end sequence is unbelievable if you have a big screen HDTV, though!

That's one of them, except we do it specifically for Hope. We still get super trashed. Also, anytime Vanille sounds like she's having an orgasm for no reason and we get the jibblies.

I Vanille. She's actually the theme for my PS3. Hope is an annoying little twit.

It was one of the game unlocks, so at least it's not like I bought DLC or anything. It was certainly better than "black". So now I have a cutie vanille sitting all innocent like on my menus!

What are everyone's "gamertags" - I've recently realized that I have very few friends on XBox Live, and on PS3 (though I play both infrequently these days).

I think I'm "thatbirdguy" on both. Though I'll have to doublecheck the PS3 one.

I'm t3chvest or t3chvestatgmaildotcom on everything.

And screw those of you that use a different fucking tag for everything. I deleted half my XBL list yesterday because I had no idea who they were. If one of you were one of them, feel free to re-add me. Douche.

pamackie on PSN, but don't expect to see me playing much. I've had Modern Warfare for 4 months and still haven't beaten the campaign or touched the multiplayer.

Magicka could be a great game. The demo was really misleading as it looked like it was going to be a dungeon crawler, puzzle type thing and I was thinking "Cool, using elements to manipulate the environment!"

I am to chapter 11 and it's been mostly a click fest with a few occasional laughs, hardly saw anything like what the demo hinted at. The boss fights are WAY to numerous and one hit kills are not challenging just tedious. Death took like 6 hours to get past, I know the best way to beat him is life bomb spam but all it takes is one wrong move or a missed click and BAM start all over again. Finally got past it and thought "whew" so what's next? A big Wampa looking thing with a one hit kill. That's just crappy and lazy design.

Does anyone know if any of the DLC is worth getting? I would like to have more wandering around killing things than facing a boss every two minutes.

New Vegas for $15... don't mind if I do.
It's on sale for $10 this week at Best Buy. See if you can take your copy back.

I'm Deth4U2 on XBL and tOrrid2009 on PSN (my GT was already taken on PSN and I just needed to make something up to download some PSP stuff. Never knew I'd end up with a PS3.)

I bought it on steam... and then saw it for $10 at best buy like 2 days later when I was buying Kinect game.

Fallout isn't the type of game I want to play with a controller anyways. Anything that requires accuracy I need a mouse.

I'd like to play games on the computer again, but the comfyness of overstuffed chair plus 42" HDTV beats the hell out of 24" and SecuROM infestations.

Yup, I hear ya. Now that I've got a 360 again (and kinect) I put some quality time in on it over the weekend. I really like console gaming, but I also love FPS's and playing them on a console makes me into a bad, angry person. I don't mind a few hours in my big comfy desk chair, but you're right, it's certainly not the same as a couch.

Heh, it's a bit closer in competition for me. 27" monitor vs. 32" non-HDTV.

My preference in games tends to lean towards computer games, though. I'm usually playing an MMO, FPS, or some kind of strategy/sim game (Rollercoaster Tycoon, Civilization, etc.) None of which are really meant for non-keyboard controllers.

It's why my PS2 has spent its' life either collecting dust or as a DVD player and why I never really had much interest in the current generation consoles, outside a few Wii games and a band game or two.

Have you tried Civilization Revolution? Many people call it "civ light" but I find it's a great game that isn't burdened by some of the extreme craziness (religion, politics) of the computer versions.

No. I haven't gotten that one yet. I stopped at Civ 3 and fell behind in the series. I've been looking at picking up whatever the latest is at some point. I'll have to take a look at it.

Absolutely. It's almost heresy to play it on a console.

On the Borderlands front, Lucky's is just made for easy exploitation, now isn't it?

The latest is Civ V, and I think they took some notes from Civ Rev as they reduced some of the crazy complexity that is in Civ IV.

Today on Steam (all three are 75% off):

Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY - $7.49
GTA IV: Complete Edition - $9.99
Killing Floor - $4.99 (This is the one Oldi mentioned, for $5 I'll definitely try it).

I really enjoyed batman.

On the flipside though, batman is really a game I'd want to play on a console.

Anyone play Borderlands or Super/Street Fighter 4 on PS3?

From my experience from playing Borderlands as the sniper, what really made the game-play enjoyable was finding the right guns. I cycle through 2 or 3 different sniper rifles in the weapons slot. I use one with high fire rate and damage, another with high accuracy, high zoom, and damage, and maybe an elemental one. The sniper rifle with the high fire rate pretty much replaces the revolver at most times.

In New Haven, there is a exclusive gun vendor that usually carries "the good stuff". It's right across from the regular gun vendor.

I just sold my PS3 SS4 copy this weekend... Now if you want to play Marvel vs Capcom 3 on 360, I'm your man.

So, somehow my order didn't work for the Batman day

Today:

Fallout 3: GOTY Edition (Includes all 5 DLC) - $10.19
Mass Effect 2 - $6.80 (ME1 at same price as well)
Empire & Napoleon: Total War - $10.19

If you don't have ME2, you need to buy it. Everyone needs to buy it
