Annoying Self-Promo/Logo Poll

So, since going back to school, I've been trying to start doing setups/fret leveling/et cetera to bring in extra income.
I've only been advertising on craigslist, word of mouth, and facebook so far, so I understandably have very few customers.
I'm going to start putting up flyers and handing out more business cards, so I figured it was high-time I designed a logo.
That being said, I would like opinions on it (that's what the poll is for!) and welcome any critique.

If you feel so inclined, here is the bookface link for the page as well:

I "liked" your facebook page. I wish I had someone here I really trusted to do setups and minor tweaks!

I like the P & S part, but I'm not sure about the word PRECISION done in what looks like a distressed finish.

Are you not worried that you may be alienating Jazz bass owners with that name?

I thought about that as well. My thought is I'm using an antonym as a visual aid. Also, it sort of looks like the chatter marks left on the frets from leveling before you polish them down, so I thought it was fitting. Though, my files don't leave chatter marks really...

I'll see if I can't find the exact font undistressed and post a version of the "Precision" without distressing.

I actually thought about that, and oddly enough, most of the basses I've done so far are jazz basses.

Ok, being lazy. I did a select and just filled it myself, so it's not perfect, but since it's a rough-draft....

I personally think that the distressed looks better with both. Not a fan of the 2 differing styles, however, I'm not the one that has to like it.

Don't use the distressed font. They are the worst. Either use brushes and distress the font yourself or use a clean font. The exact same texture on every letter of a distressed font just looks bad.

I see it now that you point it out. Never would have noticed it otherwise, which is surprising for my personality. Back to work.
*click, click, click*

edit: here we go. Self-distressed.

I might swap out the "P/S" for the original, just to add a touch of character...

Yeah, I think that's the winner, winner, chicken dinner.

Had I not just spent an hour manually distressing it, I would do one like that for you...but...not after an hour of work! lol.

I considered it. I also considered a ruler, and other things, but decided I didn't want to muddy it up more than necessary. Also, I figured that the parallel lines were better than anything in the logo text.

I don't think those words mean what you think they mean.

Maybe have a graphic artist do it for you? Seems like we have tons of those jerks around here.

I don't like the name or the logo

The S in front of the P doesn't look right. Come up with something that maybe utilizes the tuning pegs or something else guitar related. Keep the whole thing as simple as possible.

The only people who are impressed by complicated logos are the people who created them

Alright, heading back to the drawing board then. My wife agrees with the P/S combo as a no-no.

What don't you like about the name? That's one thing that people have said was a good choice.

Alright. I'm leaving it as I had it last night.
I tried implementing different tuning keys into P's and R's and such, but it just looked wrong and like I was trying too hard.
Here it is, minus the background:

Keep in mind, for this kind of small side business, it is way more important to get something out there then to have it be perfect. If I were looking for sidework and I needed a logo for my social presence, I would literally use the very first idea I came up with.
