I'm in need of some suits/sports coats/slacks. I missed the last JAB sale as I was out of town. I'm going to keep my eyes on their site though for the next one.

They have a major sale approximately every 37 minutes. You won't wait long!

Yep, there's no "regular price"...there is "high sale price" and "low sale price"

In other news, I am $1000 poorer but 3 tailored suits and 3 ties richer.

God it was hard finding half-decent ties as part of the deal at Jos. A. Bank.

Store was not nearly as crowded as I expected. Maybe the rain showers had something to do with it.

FWIW, for the wedding I attended in Australia, my brother bought us all fairly decent suits, and then had them customised to fit. I have to be honest, I personally didn't think the customisation made that much difference. I've bought suits off the rack (decent quality, not $99 jobbies) that I was far happier with than the suit I ended up with. It looked good, but it wasn't as "wow" as I expected it to be.

Just spent the week in Vancouver, and within a 5 minute walk from my hotel there were 5-6 mens suit stores/tailors.

Never before have I felt so much clothing want.

That's tricky at outlets. Most of the stuff there isn't going to be from actual Nordstrom stores. It's either lower-end stuff used to fill the stores or made-for-outlet versions of stuff at the regular store if it's a non-department store (which are also lower quality).

Tonight I picked up from the tailor the nicest piece of clothing I've ever owned. It's a wool twill sport coat. Of course it is winter weight and we are in the middle of a heat wave, so I have to wait a few days to bust it out.

That needs a body in it to give it any mojo. Coat hanger won't do it.

You'll have to wait.

There's a body in it on the website, but the body they chose makes it look a little more fashion forward than I would care to share.

Lots of cats dress like that here.

Personally, I've got too much hair to look anything like a silly billy in fancy clothes.

It is not a traditional American style. It is very much an Italian style.

That makes sense, much more Italians than Americans here .

Cats here don't even wear clothes. Though the poor dogs in certain areas get dressed up whether they like it or not. Usually with that, "kill me now, please," look.
