Agreed.
I asked for the baby boy version (http://www.mwcwatches.com/shop/produ...products_id=62) for Christmas. If I like the fit and weight and style, and it's a cool gadget I'll get the more elegant one (which is 5 times the price).

Still undecided on the shirts, went back and am having trouble finding ones that really speak to me (a lot of 'nice' shirts, but the ones I like tend to be pretty samey).

For me it is "would my grandpa have worn this from the 1930s-1960s?" If so, I'm in.
Our artistic differences make so much sense now.

I still have a few that are in the 35mm range. They just feel weird and too small now after going with several 40-45 mm watches.

I guess it's just what you are used to.

Totally. Familiarity and preference. Like most other stylistic bases.

The good thing about being a man is the kind I stuff I'm talking about doesn't go in or out of style.

Here is a good list of basics I pulled up or a friend who was looking for a place to start.

For men, its hard to go wrong with clothes that fit properly. I still can't believe that in high school I would where XL stuff sometimes when in college I was wearing L and sometimes M shirts.

Exactly. It's the most important and usually the most neglected element.

My wife bought this one for me when we got engaged. Been wearing it since.

I wouldn't mind getting something else but this has done the job over the 11 years I've had it so I can't overly complain.

Accidentally stumbled upon my X-mas present from the wife over the weekend in the trunk of her car while getting something else out.

Not sure exactly what it is, but it was in an Allen Edmond's box.

If your wife was clever, that's a cover-up box and has nothing to do with the actual gift.

Otherwise, you may have yourself a pretty solid pair of shoes, at least in terms of build quality.

She asked me what you wanted and I told her this:

Merry Christmas.

I really like the iPod Nano watches I've seen. I'm sure I'm in the minority though.

The only thing that bugs me about #1 is that when I wear it, the collar points don't quite reach the lapels.

That's the case for many/most point collar shirts, so it's not really an issue (I can't tell if that's a point collar, but just saying in general).

The blue is a spread collar, the off-white is a point collar.

+1

It isn't the current fashion, but it isn't a mistake or poor form.
