reflection good but band of out of focus land is distracting..a greater depth of field and a differing focal point would have eliminated this..
its a better shot without the reflection
nice sky good tones and excellent composition
:)
Hey Basshunter,
How's your Thanksgiving schedule? My ex has the kids Thursday and Friday, and my man and I have them on the weekend. Maybe we could all get together for part of the long weekend?
Oh BTW, my man took me bass shopping in Nashua. Couldn't afford one right now, but he got me some nice birthday presents.

Thursday to my folks in Deerfield, Friday and Saturday we've got to go to Andover to see Mrs.BHtobe's family, coming back sometime on Sunday. I'll give you guys a ring...you'll be in Warwick?

 so thats the avatar..i got a log on my B...boo hoo:rofl:
i have been pricing taper ones and they are all around £35-40..thats nearly $70...i really dont want the cheapies as they..roto's and others are a bit unfriendly under the fingers
one i might go back to is the nanoweb elixir..and if a log appears...meh!:right:

are elixirs cheaper than £35-40 over there??
I am starting to like the feel of the slinkys on my fingers after 300 years of rotos

Like how the edge of the lake is so out of focus but the mirror image doesn't even have a ripple... hmmm... :dunno:

I remember finding that pic, thinking how cool it was and then realizing after I'd posted it that something about if was fucked up.
Still, it worked :D

If you've ever been there in the heat of summer, it's not so relaxing...at least not a mid day.

Yeah, it has some reality issues concerning depth of field. ;) Pretty, but it appears to be trickery. To me, I didn't even think it was a lake, but like a pool of water on a rock reflecting the image. So whatever the photographershopper had in mind didn't work on me ;)

+1 Look at how fast the DOF changes at the edge of the 'lake'. It's like someone had a seriously out-of focus foreground and attempted to save the image. It is possible that it was shot with say a 50mm f/1.4 or so and the reflection did come in that way. I can do it with mirrors in the house. But that edge of the 'pond' looks suspicious by the rock.
Apologies to anyone here if you made the pic, but it needs work. Very pretty at first glance but buggery on the eyes after you look closer. "Hey... That woman has an Adam's apple...". :)
Found the guy on the web: he's pretty good!

Perhaps it is real and his depth of field is unfocused for the shoreline of the rain pond, but is still perfectly in focus for the reflection since it's at the same distance as his rock subjects... Here are more pics of the same scene... (http://parkerlab.bio.uci.edu/nonscientific_adventures/reflections.htm)
