dead strings or bad pickups?

I have a complaint about the 6 string. The B is plenty loud, but the E and A are a lot softer. It is like there is a dip in the volume in the middle of my strings. I could adjust the pickup height if it were on one side or another, but don't see how given the location. Could it be dead strings? I hate to hit up Kurt for another set of strings (he already sent a set for my 4 string). Anything else it could be?

Could be either one. Try taking a string off and putting the B string in the E or A position for a bit.

I hope it's just the strings.
I've had similar things happen with basses due to pickup hight as well but just two in the middle might mean something strange.

I asked Kurt what he thought, and of course he volunteers to send out a new set of strings. (and far be it from me to turn him down)

I will try switching the strings around (like AG said) if it continues to be a problem.
