We won't keep this around for long, I hope.
This forum started out as a grand idea that was executed kinda poorly because of the "no parody threads" rule.
There are lotsa people here who know lotsa stuff. We've got professionals from just about every walk of life here and they can answer lotsa questions. If you're at least kinda sorta pretty sharp in your field you can start a thread here and folks can ask you questions. Information sharing at its finest :)
Folks, let's keep it reasonably serious in here. Nothing wrong with kidding around but the thread starters need to remain fairly serious, please.
One last thing - threads are owned by yours truly, not the thread starter. If someone else lends a hand in a thread you started if they know their stuff then it'd be a good idea to gracefully accept the input. Let's keep the Q&A in one thread rather than starting a separate thread for each - one area I think this might be an issue is with the computer stuff. Maybe one thread for Windows, one for Mac, one for Linux/BSD. I'll start the Linux thread, all y'all can start the others.
So have at it :D
