Hi! I am looking to change my sound and style, so am going to
restring my Ric4003. I want to start getting that churning/clunking/
galloping thing (think Steve Harris) going on. So, Im thinking I
probably want a lighter gauge string so the strings will be a bit more
floppy and slap against the fret wires a little more readily without
giving me carpal tunnel. But, I still want to defy the laws of
physics and get a decent beefy tone that will shake the stage. Does
anyone know of a good compromise set of strings that combine
relatively low string tension with a decent mass to still keep some
good tone? Really appreciate your help! (Now, where did I put that
Holy Grail ... I know it's around here somewhere ... !) Thanks! Dom
