View Full Version : Ever get booked without knowing it?

So our guitarist was googling around, and then he found three confirmed gigs. That we didn't even know about. I do the bookings, and I've never heard about those gigs before :crazy:

Turns out a band appointed us as an 'exclusive support act' for their Dutch gigs, and the venues booked us through the country's biggest booking agency.... Which we didn't know we joined. At all. :crazy:

So erm, fine with me. I think I need to lie down for a moment.

Better contact that band and agency and ask for regular e-mail of their calendar. ;)

We're playing Kampen, near Zwolle on Saturday the 23rd, and my hometown, Enschede, on the Saturday the 30th!

It happens to us quite a lot - as we're quite big pullers here in town, a fewbands being pushed by promoters to fill up a venue will put 'Toupe TBC' on their gig listings...causes us an assload of grief as promoters from else where check up and ask us if we're playing on the same date they booked us etc, but our fans aren't that stupid and know when our gigs are for real. :)

Well we're not exactly the crowd-pullers as the headliner is Gorefest... But they are by far the easiest-gotten shows ever :D
