What's cool in bass machine heads?

The title says it mostly; I've got a bass project that I'm about to start
working on (again), and I'm wondering what's cool for tuning keys for bass.
FWIW, it's going to be a 34" scale 6-string, tuned BEADGC.

I'm leaning toward the Hipshot UltraLites, but I want to know about
everything. Schaller BM Light, how are they? ABM headless system, how wide
is the nut end of things? Is there anything worthwhile besides Gotoh,
Hipshot, Schaller, and ABM?



I have posted this question to MIMF as well, so if it looks familiar, that's
why.
