Hi, AGBers

I'm listening to the Beatles's "Dear Prudence" and can't quite get
what Macca is doing. Seems like a pedal tone D and sliding down the
D7 scale, but for some reason it's beyond me.

Any help here would be appreciated, it's a great bass line!

cheers

Last time I checked that out, it seemed to me the verse section was
all played on the D string. Indeed, a D pedal tone thingy, but first
note is A on the D string , if IIRC.

Overall a great variation on a "cliche" 8ve , b7 , 6, 5 desecending
line.
