I have two cats, they sleep most of the time, but should I leave the radio on for them when I am gone to work and what nots?????

Why not? If you're worried about the electric bill, construct a crystal radio so they can listen to AM talk radio...:D

I can't think it cost to much to leave it on, its just one of them cheap ones you put under your upper cabinets, I think I will start to leave it on at a low volume.
My cats will not rock out all day:super:

Our county (parish, actually) recently passed a no-free-roaming law for dogs. All dogs must be on a leash or inside a fence. In the city, that would be fine. I live outside the city limits, 1 1/2 acres, one neighbor has 4 acres, other neighbor has 3+. Why should we have to fence in our dogs.
So, when our last dog died, we didn't get another. We have four (yep - count 'em - 4) cats, all outdoor-cats. They don't come inside at all. I am not really a "cat lover" but I do have cats. (Besides, they kill the moles, mice, and snakes for us.)

cats suck. but, that aside, why not leave the radio on. i do sometimes for kuma (he gets NPR). i think it's somewhat comforting for them to hear a human voice. although, that might be true of dogs as it make them feel like they're not alone and out of the pack. whereas, for independent, evil cats, there might not be such a strong pack mentality and they might just view it as an annoyance...like they do most other humans.

I once threw bait out on the backlawn after fishing that day. The next day the bait was gone and in it's place was a pile of cat ----. That is all.

Potheads eat way too much to be low-maintenance. ;)
Aside from the cat hair I find everywhere, the need to protect open food in the kitchen or dining room, and the weekly barf puddle, our cat rocks.

I have three cats here at my mother's house. They're old and cranky and pee on everything. I can't wait to be gone.

That's what they REALLY do while you're at work all day :)

I love cats personally, but my wife is allergic. Our dog is female and the next door neighbors have 2 male cats. They are her boyfriends and literally come to visit her when she's outside, or come to the windows to say hi daily... so we have 2 cats by pet relationship...
Oh, and my wife insists on leaving the tv on for our dog when we're out so she doesn't get lonely...
