Anybody have experience with them? I've got a potential deal working for a Yamaha BBT210S cab, but know less than nothing about them...

I've always been a fan of Yamaha products. I've never used their bass cabs, but like their PA speakers. I'd imagine they would be aquality cab that will hold up well. As for specific tonal characteristics though, I got nothin'

hmm... i'm still trying to downsize the mesa rig, and i've still got your former avatar 2x10, but no cash to fund a second one. 2x2x10 ought to be enough, don't'cha think?

My "spare" rig which never leaves the bassment is a single Yammy PA speaker with a 15 and a big horn driven by my Peavey Century 200. Sounds pretty fucking good, actually, once you cut some of the treb.

I've owned a ton of Yamaha gear. Lots of it has been good, but some of it is just...blech. My 115 Yamaha is a stellar amp for keys and vocals, but I had a 4x12 cabinet (Yamaha couldn't tell me whether it was a bass, guitar cab, or a PA top. Nobody knew anything about this cabinet) that was a vile piece of shit. You couldn't get rid of the horrendous top-end, which leads me to believe it was supposed to be a full-range PA cab.

A buddy of mine has had a 1x15 combo of theirs for years, and he curses it every time he plays it.

I still have a Yamaha keyboard amp that we use as a small PA. Much like cdb, it never leaves my basement. It's a big heavy awkward bastard.
