I like mine, but there are many more pristine and exotic ones in here for sure... I play mine and have had them all for years, so they have the occasional ding and mojo...

I also wonder what that beautiful fretless is!! :)

ModmanQ6
03-09-2007, 09:53 AM
That is the Opus "Frankenwood 5" fretless. It was made by a local luthier named Dan Jones. I bought it from the guy who originally commissioned Dan to build it, so he could buy his wife a Kerzweil KB for church as a christmas present. I call it frankenwood because this guy likes using many different woods (like 13 or so (?)) Here's what I know about the setup:
The electronics are a EMG BQC setup with vol, blend, treble, stacked mid w/ frequency sweep, and bass. The pickup is a triple coil of some make that isn't obvious and I'm not really clear what each of the switches do except the black one, which turns on the embedded led's along the side of the neck. It has plenty of Mwah, plays like butter and has the widest tonal variation capabilities of all my basses...

the Kev master nails it. the white one is a Mouradian CS-74 and its the third one made. The other bass is an Aria Pro II SB-900.

I'll be bringing most of these basses to Hammerbash for anyone who wants to play them.:D

13 of 17. Nothing boutique except maybe the USA Cirrus and the JIL Custom. Just tools for my toolbox. The most important ones ( that get gigged the most) are the ASAT, the Hamer 12, the StingRay, and the white MIJ Fender

"Lord Corvin" -- '92 Carvin LB76F, my main gigging bass

http://members.chello.nl/r.n.kok/bass/MTD/3.jpg

Top: "Lord Tony" -- MTD Kingston I bought off Burdizzos, I'm still tinkering around with it.

Bottom: "Lord Steve" -- Frankenbanez '00 Ibanez SR405. Defretted, EMG 40DC bridge PU wired straight to the jack, Graphtek nut, DR black beauties, Steve DiGiorgio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Digiorgio) signature.

http://members.chello.nl/r.n.kok/bass/roadstar.jpg

Another frankenbass: "Lord Harris" -- '83 Ibanez Roadstar. Bought in terrible condition. Will be finished.. Erm... When I have an idea how I want it finished.

http://members.chello.nl/r.n.kok/bass/mlbody.jpg

Yet another frankenbass: "Lord David" -- '06 home made Scandinavian pine sandwiched ML body with electronics scavenged from a crap bass. Will be finished when the weather is better suited for painting.
