OK... Just posted on talkbass, but want to get your votes also. :)

Having just discovered how comfortable I am with 6-string basses with wide string spacing (Yamaha TRB-6 in particular), I'm just curious...

What are the options out there for wide 6-stringers? With wide, I'm thinking Yamaha TRB-6, which has a 19mm string spacing at the bridge.

I'm personally a sucker for wide spacing on any bass... Feels like I have more freedom to play Hard/soft agressive/mellow. I just bought a Peavey Cirrus 6 Str., though... But mostly because I heard so many good things about it ;).

I can't say for sure. I had the 5-stringer... the spacing was like an average 4 banger. So I figured the 6...

The BTB is definately a nice bass! :)
I had a Peavey Cirrus a year or two ago, but the spacing was too narrow for me. :) The TRB has 19mm string spacing, and I am in love with that!

if memory serves, the Peavey Fury has really wide string spacing for a 6, but I don't think it's in the quality range you've got in mind.

Zon Sonus.

I love my Zon Sonus 5, and I've been thinking about trading it in and get the 6 string version.

If you want wide, you'd hate mine...

@The Lurker:
Ah, the Peavey Fury! I was looking at that one earlier, but I think you're right... it's not something I would be satisfied with these days. :) It looks like a nice bass and a good option for anyone getting into 6ers, though!

@G-Bitch:
Having owned a couple of Warwicks, I think I can say it's not what I'm looking for right now. They do have both wide and narrow 6ers, though, so they are definately something to be considered for people looking in this category! :)

@Tommy Gunz:
Yeah, Zons... they are great basses and probably deserves to be considered! :)

@Modman
That's for sure!!! :) What's the bridge spacing on that one??? I'm sure my fretless V-er is about the same width all the way as your bass! :)

I think it's 12 or 13mm... It's like 6 strings on a 4 string neck. I have small hands... :cool:

That's narrow! :)
It looks like a hybrid thing... it's kinda cool, but not my thing! I'm sure it's worth a small fortune, though... being pretty unique!
